Broker's Comments
The Contessa 32 is probably one of the best known and best loved offshore cruising boats there is and possibly the best cruiser racer of all time. Designed by David Sadler and built by Jeremy Rogers (they are still in build now), they have an iconic quality that is rightly earned. The Contessa 32 was first designed in 1970 and has proven itself for both racing and seaworthiness in all conditions. It was a Contessa 32 that was the only yacht in the small boat class to finish the disastrous 1979 Fastnet race.
They sail well, have fantastic seakeeping qualities and just look beautiful. Down below they are laid out traditionally; everything is in the right place for being at sea making them a safe and practical cruising boat for single-handers and families alike. She'll look after you all.
With berths for six, including two doubles, a full sized forward facing Nav station with quarter berth, a good sized galley and an attractive saloon area, this vessel is practical and homely with a traditional feel.
With pretty lines, a furling headsail and a slab reefing mainsail, the deck is easy to move around and she has a deep, safe cockpit. This one is looking for some TLC from a new owner.
A trustworthy & versatile yacht for offshore or local sailing in all seasons, come rain or shine, calm or rough seas.
