A brew-tiful evening at the Whitbread Veterans Reunion
With the back drop of the Ocean Globe boats, on Tuesday 5th September some of the Boatshed team and friends helped the Whitbread Veterans celebrate their reunion in Ocean Village, Southampton.
In a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Whitbread Race, all previous Whitbread and Volvo race crews were invited to attend.
The weather couldn't have been warmer for the sailors to tour the Ocean Globe boats, listen to guest speakers and meet up with old friends to relive past adventures - on and off the water.
Neil, Kurt and Nic from Boatshed, alongside friends of Boatshed set up a temporary bar in the middle of the event. Offering free cans of beer and Boatshed coozies to attendees.
"It was a who's who in the world of sailing, with so many familiar faces. Such a friendly event and lovely to be able to play a small part in" said Nic of Boatshed Southampton & Hamble.
