Broker's Comments

The owner is a professional boat builder and has built five of these ocean cruisers, purchasing the hulls (Tyler TG 37's), then completing the build to a high specification, from a boat yard in Exmouth, this particular one the owner has sailed across the Atlantic three times.
The boat is solid and built for long passages. The engine is exceptional, a 4 cylinder, 2 litre, with a Bulk Warner gear box. Claire Francis sailed one of these round the world. The Ohlson 38 has an enviable reputation for seaworthiness, speed and good sea motion. She also one of the very few boats that can ‘lie ahull’ and look after you if you are out in the ocean in a blow. She is also a very pretty boat and constantly admired."
