I love these local summer events, it does not matter where you are around our fantastic coastline but at some point during the year the local community gets together to raise money for local charities or just to celebrate local boating.

On Sunday the 22nd July the Mudeford RNLI station were raising funds at Mudeford Quay with a raft race, lifeboat demonstrations, Coastguard fly-by's, fun fair and a hawker Hunter air display.

As you can see from my photos, not only was Mudeford Quay packed but also Mudeford Spit alongside the "Run".

This is a great family day and my kids certainly enjoyed it, why don't you put it in your diary for next year.
