This month we have been looking at ideas that surround review sites and generally getting reviews for our Boatshed businesses. If you consider the success of Trip Advisor for the hotel industry, why not extent this customer focussed review principle to yacht brokers?

For a number of years we considered launching a website called whichyachtbroker.com but after considerable amounts of thought and discussion, we have decided to place a hold this project for the moment.

However, what people think about the services that we offer is really, really important and therefore to ignore the possible implications enabling customers to review yacht brokers we feel would be a mistake.
We therefore have been looking at a variety of existing review site platforms, including Trust Pilot for example, where customers can review their experience of us online.
Essentially, we want to get an impression from people who use the Boatshed websites, is the search easy to use, are our photographs nice, clear and transparent and is the site user friendly, etc, etc? We then want to get an impression from people selling their boats. Did we achieve service that you initially thought we would supply for you and what are your observations of using the Boatshed system as a seller? Thirdly, we’d like to review boat buyers. How did we score and what was your impression of Boatshed and our brokers in helping you with the purchase of your new boat?

We hope that by introducing more transparency into Boatshed and hopefully the yacht brokerage process as a whole, it will mean greater trust and a higher level of service for our customers. It will also encourage Boatshed as a company as well as its franchisees to perform better and more effectively.

If you think that yacht broker reviews and more transparency in the yacht brokerage marketplace is a good idea and if you would like Boatshed to start offering reviews to its customers, please simply like this idea on Facebook today. A link to my personal Facebook page is here. Alternatively, you can retweet this on Twitter or send an email to me personally with your support for this concept.

Best regards.
